Marakoopa Cave

We did a guided tour through the Marakoopa Cave. It is very much a wet cave with streams running through it. It was unusual to here the running water instead of the quite of other caves.

I managed to get a couple of shots hand held in the relative  dark without disturbing the tour group too much.

Alum Cliffs

Overlooking the Mersey River. There are ochre cliffs to the right. While it is nice this is listed as one of the great short walks in Tasmania and we were a little disappointed after the build up.

While I didn't get them both in the frame together, there were at least two, possibly three platypus playing here.

Tug boats not needed for for the spirit. We skilfully did a U-turn with the limited space.

Reflections on board the spirit.

While not rough the ship rolled a lot more this trip. The viewing decks were closed for a lot of the voyage.

Werribee Zoo

Had a great day catching up with Bec and Kieran in Melbourne. Went to the zoo and then out for a nice tea.

I didn't really expect to see long horn steers at the zoo. This group came from Texas in Queensland.

So now the cat is out of the bag. We actually paid a little extra and had a much smaller vehicle, smaller group and guide.
