Bowen

Gen Erin Farmstay just outside Bowen.

Best fish and chips in a long time in Bowen for lunch today.

Roderick had a cracked filler hose that we replaced here.

There were some small corrugations on the road into Glen Erin Farm Stay. I wonder how many and how big the corrugations up north will be.

Townsville

So I got up at 6:00 am and the sun hadn't risen yet. We were camped at Rowes Bay just across the road from the beach. Unfortunately it didn't look like it was going to be much of a sunrise.

Townsville

I put my camera away and went for a ride along the shared path towards Pallarenda. Once again I was wrong there was a nice little sunrise. The iPhone to the rescue again.

Townsville

Better luck and more patience on day 2.

Little Crystal Creek

Leaving Townsville we went up to Paluma crossing this arch bridge over little Crystal Creek.

Little Crystal Creek

The rocks were wet and slippery. It actually took a bit of effort to take this shot.

Big Crystal Creek

We stopped for lunch at the Big Crystal Creek picnic area and Paradise Lagoon.

Wallaman Falls

Even though it was almost dark getting into Cardwell I am glad we went into Wallaman Falls. They are impressive. I don't think any photo will replace being there and seeing them. If we had more time I would definately had made the effort and walked down to the base.

Cardwell

We camped just north of Cardwell on the banks of  Meunga Creek. I saw my first croc for this trip - sorry no photo not even on the iPhone.

No swimming for Clara.
