Kangaroo Island  Ferry Terminal. Almost over the road from the Penneshaw caravan park where we stayed.

The interesting sculpture trail walk around a small gorge was next to the caravan park.

This piece is called The Watcher -Boobook Owl by Ken Law.

After managing to get the washing done yesterday we decided to head to the western end of the island and work our way back.

It looks as if a lot of Flinders Chase National Park is closed for pig control but in actuality all the main tourist attractions are open.

Is that a jetty all the way down there?

It certainly is. This was the jetty used to receive all supplies for the lighthouse keepers. Originally all goods were brought manually from the jetty up the cliff face. This channel was then manually cut through the rock to allow a flying fox to be used to haul the goods up.

This is the formation that is most recognisable but I found it almost the least interesting.

Just like the haystacks there is much more to the site than the usual formation that you always see.

We spent the night in the council camp site at Vivonne Beach. While not free or even cheap 22.50 with limited facilities it was a great location. this beach and fresh water creek was just over a rise.

Where for a fee you can walk on the beach with the Australian Sea Lions.

An overview of the site. The closest board walk while still costing to walk out there is cheaper than the guided walk along the restricted board walk and down onto the beach like the small group of people in the distance.

The Sea Lions do not restrict themselves and are all through the low coastal heath well up from the beach. When it is cold they have ventured all the way into the visitor car park. This young lady is almost blocking our way on the path down to the boardwalk.
