So they are not just a myth they do exist.

Possibly the boiler that powered the mill.

This is the bosses house. The station was originally set up as you would expect for human diseases but it ended its days as a plant quarantine station for the importation of pants.
The from door of the doctors house. Most of the building have gone. Sold and the material removed. There is a house standing at Dennes point that was built with material from here.
There is only one of these Long buildings left. They were put up at the end of world war one and the flu pandemic. Not sure if they acted as dormitories or were mess huts etc for the surrounding tents.
While the fence is a replica the three building is how staff transferred into the hospital area. There are change rooms at each end and a bath fumigation room in the middle.
I thought I had a better photo but still pretty happy to capture this Scarlet Robin?
Bye Bruny. On the ferry back to Tasmania.
Very nice van park in Huonville to catch up with the washing and do some shopping in Woolworths. Ann had a car park conversation with a fellow Queenslander who had moved to Tassie. Strange think was she had an Irish accent.
We did get the washing dry even though there were a few showers hence the rainbow. Didn't see any platypus in the river though.
The park is attached to a small farm with farm animals an a couple of "retired" Tasmanian devils. Feed time is 4:00 pm daily.
The most southerly drive in campsite in Tasmania. Even though the road goes a bit further it kicks up North East so this is as far south as you can drive in Australia.
Not being content with being at the end of the road I decided I would walk for 2 hours to get South Cape Bay - as far south as you can walk in Australia.
These steps leading down to the beach are the most southerly in Australia.
Stream running onto the beach.
Lion Rock at the western end of South Cape Bay beach.
Maybe it looks like a lion.
Lion Rock
Looking South - Nothing between here and Antartica, in fact Antartica is closer than Cairns.
Final shot over the bay before the walk back to camp.
I took a few macro shots on the way out. I have not idea what shrubs flowers etc I was shooting.

Made it back to camp. Took me longer than the 4 hours on the signpost.
