North Bruny Island -Quarantine Station

This is the bosses house. The station was originally set up as you would expect for human diseases but it ended its days as a plant quarantine station for the importation of pants.

The from door of the doctors house. Most of the building have gone. Sold and the material removed. There is a house standing at Dennes point that was built with material from here.

There is only one of these Long buildings left. They were put up at the end of world war one and the flu pandemic. Not sure if they acted as dormitories or were mess huts etc for the surrounding tents.

While the fence is a replica the three building is how staff transferred into the hospital area. There are change rooms at each end and a bath fumigation room in the middle.
