We took a drive out to the eastern edge of the park and the old Mayne Hotel.

On the way we went to the look out over the park with Janet's leap being the outcrop in the left of this panorama.

I enjoyed the drive out of the National Park. It was more a track but not a main road either. We drove across gibber plains, clay pans some gentle rises and then great expanses of "nothing" and mostly looking green after the rain a couple of weeks ago. Even a couple of patches still damp enough to throw mud back up the sides of Clifford.

Windorah has its own solar power station. Its a little different with the parabolic reflector throwing light onto solar cells in the middle.

Wellford National Park has a few drives. We did the Desert Drive on the first day.

The Mulga Drive is a longer drive, which as the name suggests takes you through some Mulga country. These fellows were making sure we stayed on the track.

I can't remember the name of this creek but it seemed to be less muddy than the water holes on the main Barcoo channel we had seen and were camped at.

The River Drive is a misnomer. It only goes near the river once.

It does take you to this set of rocks in the river aptly named "The Jetty"

We did stumble across this old bed frame. I think this is the remains of a shepards cottage.

I am not sure what all the door locks where about.
