Leo Cummings Lookout

Once again spectacular views of the Eyre Peninsular Cliffs but there is a sad story here. Leo Cummings was part of a 3 man crew for a lobster boat. Near here they were retrieving pots when the pot line fouled the propellor. while trying to clear the line the anchor rope parted. The boat was driven onto rocks and the crew abandoned ship. Leo was crewing with the owner and his son. The son made it to shore only to see that his father was in difficulty so went back in and helped him to shore. He then saw that Leo also was not going to make it. He went back in to help Leo but Leo disappeared under the surface before he could reach him.

Mt Greenly.

Mt Greenly is between Coulta and Coles Point on the coast. I think I have finally managed to capture some of the many canola crops we have  seen.

Coffin Bay National Park

We camped in the Coffin Bay National Park.  The next morning we drove around the park and were amazed by the scenery. While not raining properly we were dodging these squalls all day.

I took quite a few shots trying to capture the wildness of the cliffs and the sea.

Red Cliffs Campground

The Red Cliffs are actually a reasonable walk from the free camp bearing the same name.
