Julius River

We camped overnight at the small campground near the picnic area and walking tracks of the Julius River.

Julius River

Saw this little wallaby hiding just off the track. Well the reason I saw him is that he hopped across the track and hid in there.

Temperate rain forest.

Tarkine Drive

Almost at Arthur River at the end of the Tarkine Drive. Rebecca Stockmans hut. Right next to the "Camp Elsewhere" campground - a little confusing.

Arthur River Cruise

After a very wet and windy day yesterday. It wasn't fun driving in the wind. It was still overcast and a bit of drizzle but not as bleak. We had a great day on the red boat on the Arthur River. Temperate rain forest down to the water's edge on both sides.

Arthur River Cruise

Almost a reflection. It was a bit too breezy for still water and perfect reflections.

Arthur River Cruise

A bit concocted in that the cruise puts fish on the log for the eagles but still I am happy with this shot.

Probably my favourite Eagle shot.

Arthur River Cruise - Lunch

We had a nice barbecue lunch in the middle of the rain forest. Some nice light at our lunch table.

Arthur River Beach

The beaches on both sides of the river are littered with logs flushed out of the river during the floods.

Edge of the world

Is it really? No but it is also a long way to South America from here if you head due west.

The Edge of the World

THE EDGE OF THE WORLD

North West Coast of Tasmania

I cast my pebble onto the shore of Eternity.

To be washed by the ocean of Time.

It has shape form and substance.

It is me.

One day I will be no more.

But my pebble will remain here.

On the shore of eternity.

More witness to the oceans.

That today I came and stood.

At the edge of the world.
